South Moravia

The Programme of Development of the Region is the basic midterm strategic document of the Region. This document touches also the field of research and development.

RIS 3 for year 2009-2013 is a strategic document of the South Moravian Region (SMR) in the field of innovations and research and development. Mission of RIS3 is increase of SMR competitiveness by encouraging cooperation of research and development sector with corporate sector and maximalisation of benefits of major research projects conducted in the region, namely CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology and ICRC - International Clinical Research Centre. RIS3 fulfils the vision that SMR will be the most innovative region in the Czech Republic and will be among 50 most innovative regions in the EU in 2013.

The Strategy for Brno is basic strategic document of the city of Brno. As Brno is a regional hub for education and research the document touches also these areas. The document is composed of analytical part, SWOT analysis and strategic vision for the future development.

This document formulates the implementation strategies set by the overall Strategy for Brno. One of the key areas is Research, development, innovations and education, Sectoral policies also include set of indicators for measuring success for all the policy areas.
